If you are a Harvard Medical student, please plan to join us for our Annual Harvard Medical Student Day of Renewal and Creativity. During this day-long retreat you will participate in Mindfulness Meditation, Vision Boarding, Writing, and Yoga.

Vision Boards with Sarah Collins. A vision board is a tool used to help clarify, concentrate, and maintain focus on a specific life goal. A vision board is any sort of board on which you display images that represent whatever you want to be, do, or have in your life. The inspirational collages serve as your image of the future—a tangible example, idea, or representation of where you are going. You vision board should represent your dreams, your goals, and your ideal life.

Writing Workshop with Heidi Pitlor. Heidi is the author of the novels The Birthdays and The Daylight Marriage. A former senior editor at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, she has been the series editor of The Best American Short Stories since 2007. Her writing has been published in Ploughshares, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Huffington Post, It Occurs to Me That I Am America: New Stories and Art, Labor Day: True Birth Stories by Today’s Best Women Writers, and elsewhere. She currently teaches in the low-residency MFA program at Regis University in Denver. She lives with her children and her husband outside Boston and is working on her third novel.

Yoga with Esteban daCruz. Esteban is a yoga teacher and writer based in Boston. Originally from Europe, he immigrated to Denver and eventually found himself in Boston where he went to business school. He fell in love with the city as he simultaneously became disillusioned with the pervading western business-oriented mindset. Esteban began to search for answers to his questions elsewhere, and eventually found them in Yoga and Buddhism. He has studied with some of the country's most senior teachers, undergone several trainings, and continues to deepen his daily practice.
