ArtScienceConverged, the 24th Experiment of Le Laboratoire, featured 15 weeks of dreams shared by pioneers of various frontiers. For the 11th week, we invited Yo-Yo Ma, Lisa Wong, and Ed Hundert to join us for a special talk moderated by our very own David Edwards.
There are as many ways for the arts to enrich our educational experiences as there are arts disciplines: from music to painting to dance to creative writing. The evening will focus on the field of music and medical education. Whether students get involved in the arts to “escape from medicine” or they experience their art as honing clinical skills such as better listening, observation, and teamwork, all of these approaches can enrich the personal and professional development of doctors-in-training in important ways.
